SURVEY

This includes -

• Prepare report on condition of stonework and outline recommendations.
• Illustrate points of note/concern.
• Record the elevation detail.

ANALYSIS & EVALUATION

• Determine the nature of the decay processes.
• Identify or characterise the stone used.
• Source suitable replacement stone.
• Determine the nature of mortars used to allow for replication and/or selection of mix(es).
• Evaluate conservation materials and procedures.

INTERVENTION PROGRAMME

• Prepare conservation intervention programmes.

SPECIFICATIONS

• Prepare specifications, to include materials and procedures, and other documents based on the survey results and analysis and evalution.

SUPERVISION

• Supervise aspects of the work as Contract Administrator or Consultant as required and appropriate.
• Carry out direct conservation/restoration of stonework and associated materials of archaeological or artistic significance.
• Conservation restauration of monumental bronzes.
