We at Lithan provide a consultancy service with respect to all aspects of the analysis, alteration and specification of natural stone and related materials for projects involving the conservation and restoration of architechural and monumental stonework of artistic, historic and archaeological importance.

The principle of the company, Mr. John Kelly has an excess of twenty years direct experience of this work on behalf of governmental, council and private bodies on a variety of conservation projects. John Kelly is an accredited stone conservator / restorer.

Lithan Limited is listed in the conservation register.

Projects include acting as a consultant to Duchas, the Heritage Service, on serveral projects of varying extent and complexity to provide condition reports and prepare intervention programmes for conservation programmes dealing with monuments an buildings.

Lithan is a listed member of the Irish Professional Conservators’ and Restorers’ Association and a Director and Accredited Member of the Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works in Ireland.
